The Comets played at the Croydon Music Festival, held at the Fairfield Halls, Croydon, Surrey in May 2001. The Festival is held each year and steel bands of various age groups from in and around London enter in competition with each other.
In addition to meeting a wide array of very talented pan players of all ages , we were absolutely thrilled to win the adult section of the competition; and this is what the judges said about The Comets ..........
